Casa de Cruz del Sur is located in beautiful, rural Chiriqui Province.  Our retreat is near Cuesta  de Piedra in the Highlands of Western Panama.  Located at the union of tropical and sub-tropical flora/fauna zones we are 3,000 feet above sea-level.  Locals always comment, "Cuesta de Piedra....tranquilo y fresco", where the nights are cool and fresh and the days are warm with soft breezes.

You will enter into a large, airy second floor living area that includes: a full self-catering kithen, a spacious dining area, convertible day bed and modern bath.  A circular staircase provides access to the first floor's well-appointed bedroom/bath suite.  These spaces offer comfortable living and sleeping for up to 4 people.  The downstairs offers a private queen bedroom/bath suite, with the upstairs loft providing a day bed opening to a king or 2 twins.  In your sleeping quarters you will have premium linens and in your bath there are large thick towels.

Spectacular mountain and valley vistas abound from floor to ceiling windows at both the upper and lower decks with fantastic bird watching.  Completely new construction provides comfort and amenities not found in typical rental units, as the owners built this separate wing for their own guests.  The kitchen has full sized appliances and services for creating feasts from the bounty of local farms nearby.

Here you will have a peaceful, friendly Panamanian vacation with easy access to hiking, bird watching, rafting, horseback riding, and viewing flora and fauna in nearby pristine Parque International La Amistad (Las Nubes) and Parque Nacional Volcan Baru.  The Pacific Ocean is less than an hour away where the day can be spent sunning, surfing and eating freshly prepared food.
